Reclaimed oak
Dining Table

Bespoke dining furniture handcrafted from reclaimed oak and steel, designed to bring warmth, character and craftsmanship into the heart of the home.

The Brief

The client wanted a dining table that would become the centrepiece of their home. It needed to comfortably seat family and friends while reflecting the character of the property using reclaimed materials that would only improve with age.

The Challenge

Sourcing reclaimed oak with boards wide enough to create a seamless tabletop while preserving the natural grain and character. The steel framework also had to provide exceptional strength without taking attention away from the timber.

THE PROCESS

Crafted with
Care

Every Found & Formed project follows a considered process. From sourcing reclaimed materials to the final finish, every decision is made with longevity, practicality and craftsmanship in mind.

The finished Result

The finished piece combines reclaimed oak with handcrafted steelwork to create a dining table that is both practical and timeless. Built to be used every day, it brings warmth, character and lasting quality to the heart of the home while showcasing the beauty of reclaimed materials.

Steel & Oak Staircase

Bespoke steel staircase with reclaimed oak treads, designed and fabricated to connect two levels while complementing the character of this converted brick building.

The Brief

The client needed a staircase that would connect the new mezzanine level while respecting the industrial character of the building. It needed to feel strong, understated and built as though it had always belonged within the space.

The Challenge

The staircase had to fit precisely within an existing opening while working around original brickwork, varying floor levels and limited installation space. Every measurement had to be exact to ensure a seamless fit.

THE PROCESS

Crafted With Precision

Every staircase is fabricated specifically for its location. From measuring on site to welding the steel frame and fitting the reclaimed oak treads, every stage is completed with accuracy to achieve a clean, solid finish.

Bespoke Memorial Bench

Designed and handcrafted in memory of Jack Owen Bower, this bespoke memorial bench was created to celebrate a life through craftsmanship. Combining fabricated steel, natural timber and personal details, every element was carefully considered to create a lasting place for family, friends and the local community to remember.

The Brief

The brief was to create a completely bespoke memorial bench that celebrated the life of Jack Owen Bower while providing a lasting place for family, friends and the local community to reflect. Every element needed to be personal, durable and capable of withstanding years of outdoor use without compromising on quality or craftsmanship. The finished piece needed to honour Jack’s memory while becoming a permanent feature that would continue to serve the community for generations

The Challenge

Unlike a standard fabricated bench, every component had to be purpose designed around the memorial itself. The laser cut backrest, engraved timber armrests and fabricated steel framework all needed to work together while preserving the personal details that made the bench unique. Every cut, weld and finish had to be completed with precision to ensure the final piece was not only structurally sound but worthy of the story it represents.

THE PROCESS

Designed to Remember

More than a memorial bench, this project was about creating a lasting place where family, friends and the community can pause, reflect and remember.

Handcrafted Oven Door

Designed and fabricated entirely from scratch, this custom chimney oven door combines traditional workshop craftsmanship with precision steel fabrication. Built to complement the character of the space, it delivers smooth operation, lasting durability and a feature that is as practical as it is distinctive.

The Brief

The client wanted a completely bespoke oven door for a traditional chimney opening that would be both practical and in keeping with the character of the space. The door needed to be robust enough for everyday use while incorporating a smooth sliding mechanism and handcrafted detailing throughout.

The Challenge

With no off-the-shelf solution available, every component had to be designed and fabricated from scratch. The biggest challenge was engineering a sliding rack and pinion mechanism that delivered effortless operation while maintaining the handcrafted appearance and durability expected from a bespoke feature built to last.

THE PROCESS

From Design To Installation

This project moved through four carefully planned stages, beginning with the design and fabrication of the steel framework before progressing through assembly, finishing and installation. Every detail was refined to ensure the completed door looked as though it had always belonged within the original chimney.

Reclaimed Stone Outdoor Table

Crafted using reclaimed quarry stone, structural steel and hand finished timber, this outdoor table was built to create a durable dining space with natural character and long lasting function.

found and formed signature

The Brief

The brief was to create a unique outdoor dining area using reclaimed stone as the foundation for the table and seating. The finished space needed to feel solid, practical and in keeping with the surrounding garden, while turning the raw materials into a feature that could be used every day.

The Challenge

The main challenge was working with heavy, irregular reclaimed stone and turning it into a usable outdoor structure. Each stone section needed to be positioned, drilled and supported correctly before the steel and timber elements could be added. The design had to balance weight, stability, comfort and character without losing the natural feel of the materials.

THE PROCESS

Built Into The Landscape

This outdoor dining space was shaped around reclaimed quarry stone, structural steel and timber seating. Each element was positioned and built to create a solid, practical feature that feels naturally part of the garden while adding weight, character and everyday function.
